Benevolence

 AID AND ASSISTANCE

Benevolence is the Father's Heart in Action. This growing ministry involves the whole church community, their time, talents, and finances. Through their efforts, we are able to minister to the families within our church community who seek help. Financial and non-financial needs are met.  Help may range from one-time assistance to more extensive aid.

For more information, please call Sharon Moody at 425-402-4445.

HELPING HANDS BANK

We all have needs from time to time when we could use a helping hand, be it a home-cooked meal after a surgery, a pick-up truck to help us move a sofa, or a broken fence that needs mending, and we don’t have the skill to do it ourselves or the money to pay to have it done. The benevolence ministry has developed a network of volunteers who would be called on when those needs arise.

This ministry depends solely on the response from the church family and areas of help are developed only when there are enough volunteers in the bank to be able to assist in the needs.

HOME REPAIR

Includes painting, simple carpentry repairs, plumbing, (leaking faucets, pipes, etc.) electrical and appliance evaluation.

HOME CARE

Includes light housekeeping (laundry, vacuuming, tidying), transportation to and from doctor appointments or simple errands, visiting, (encouraging, praying, etc.)  Needs would arise from illness or disability or recovering from surgery or childbirth, or a person living alone on a fixed income.

Meals:  The volunteer either prepares or purchases a dinner meal for the one in need and delivers it to their home.

 VEHICLES

Includes volunteering your truck, trailer, van, or other vehicle to help with moving, hauling, etc. It may also include your time to drive or operate vehicles needed to get a project done.

MUSCLE POWER

This is a broad category that could include heavy lifting, moving, yard work, hauling debris, moving furniture, etc.

If you'd like to volunteer your skills as a member of the Helping Hands Bank, please phone Sherrie, Kathy or Sharon at the church office, 425.402.4445.
